Pragathi USA showcases well experienced and talented faculties to develop the talents of kids and elders. Whether it is chess, music arts or instruments our faculties will work very closely with them and constantly inspiring and motivate to generate positive energy.

Shilpi Aneja

Graduated from renowned Kalakshetra, College of Fine Arts, Chennai, India in 1997 with a focus on Bharatnatyam. While training at Kalakshetra took part in many dance dramas and dance productions and traveled with the troupe. Worked with various international schools in India teaching Bharatnatyam and folk dances from around India and the world. Also worked at the Krishnamurti foundation schools. I moved to the USA in 2008 after I got married and devoted my time to settling down and start a family. I have two beautiful children Ava who is 3 and Aarav who is 10 months old. I have also worked with the Fairfax County’s SACC program for a few years and there again I educated kids on Indian culture and various dance forms. It has been a great experience and adventure. I am very excited to be a part of Pragathi and be able to teach dance to the students as I do believe that any art form is a discipline that helps one in all aspects of their lives. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Humayun Khan

Humayun Khan teaches Hindustani vocal and keyboard. In 1990, he studied classical music from Shubha Sankaran. He then traveled to Calcutta and began formal training in vocal music under the tutelege of Ustad Vilayat khan. In 1995, he received further guidance from Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. He has performed many programs in various parts of the globe

Narasimhan Nallan Chakravarthula

Sriman Nallan Chakravartula Narasimhan, is an IT Consultant, by profession and performs and teaches Carnatic music on Violin. He started learning carnatic music on Violin at the age of 8 yrs under the guidance of his father Sri Nallan Chakravatula Ramanujacharyulu in the disciplic succession of Late Sri Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu. Narasimhan has performed in both India and USA. He has been teaching Violin to students, in USA, for the past 15 years of which 5 years in Herndon, Virginia

Swapna Naidu

She have a masters in Engineering,with a passion for ART; enjoy sculpting,painting and crafts with her little ones. The class will cover concepts of drawing,visualization, understanding dimension, perspective and overall opening the children’s mind to limitless possibilities.

Daniel Prabhakar

Daniel Prabhakar has a deep understanding of both Hindustani and Carnatic music, playing Tabla since the age of seven. His formal training has been under the guidance of Shri Sachhidanand Phadke in Pune, India. He also trained by attending the workshop conducted by Ustad Zakir Hussein at Omega, Rinebeck, New York.

Gavin Francis

Gavin Francis is a USCF certified chess coach and tournament director. He has worked as an instructor for the Berkeley Chess School in the San Francisco Bay area, Championship Chess in Atlanta, and as an online chess and math instructor for Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. Gavin has also served as executive coordinator for the U.S. Chess Center in Washington, D.C.

Lalitha Rampally

Lalitha Rampally is teaching children and adults Carnatic Music from many years in Northern Virginia. Lalitha Rampally and her students performed locally in various cultural events , Children’s Day Festival , Trinity Festival and in various events in local temples.
