Pragathi USA happy to support Nethra Vidyalaya
Pragathi USA is happy to adopt 10 students of Nethra Vidyalaya for year 2015. With the help of our donors we would like to extend our support to 10 students. The suggested donation to support each student is approximately $500 per year
About Nethra Vidyalaya
Netra Vidyalaya provides Education for the blind in India and is a part of the Jeeyar Educational Trust (JET) founded by HHSri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.
Netra Vidyalaya includes education from primary level to high school, junior & senior college, for the visually challenged where hundreds of students are benefiting every year.
Netra Vidyalaya is unique in that students are trained to write their Intermediate board and Degree exams on laptops without the help of scribes (helpers). This is first in India where the state government recognized and permitted the students to write on laptops.
JET provides FREE education, boarding, lodging, food, study material etc.., to blind students of all communities irrespective of religion, caste, color and gender.
